AUTOPSIA DI UN OGGETTO – LFF2019
Vittorio Marchis’s autopsies of objects are an encounter of science and theater. Conducted on the format of classic anatomy classes, his performances offer the audience a clever and refreshing approach to the world we live in. Under the hands of the Anatomist and his assistant, everyday household appliances such as a vacuum cleaner or a coffee machine are turned into experimental research objects.
By dissecting them, we explore the laws of science and better comprehend our daily relationship with technology. Vittorio Marchis is a professor of History of Science and Technique at the Polytechnic University of Turin.
