Effetto Farfalla – LFF2019
Effetto Farfalla (butterfly effect) is a competition in memory of local boy Tommaso Corazza, who passed prematurely in March 2017. A commemoration and celebration of Tommaso’s vitality and of the curiosity that animated his passions, always toward change and a renewed environmental and social awareness.
Ideas remain and must be helped germinate. Tommaso’s family and friends have created an association to convey his enthusiasm and courage. In a word, his joy of living. This is how Il Mondo di Tommaso came about. Lago Film Fest choose to share this spirit as well as a stretch of the road in a journey to the root of all things.
At the beginning of 2018, the Effetto Farfalla award was launched inviting students of middle schools, high schools, universities and any person under the age of 27 to make videos telling stories of butterfly effects, or small gestures with unpredictable collective consequences, be they metaphorical or literal.
The 15th edition of Lago Film Fest will thus see the awards of the second edition of the Butterfly Effect and the presentation of the theme for the third edition:
BIODIVERSITY
Edward O. Wilson coined the term “biodiversity” back in 1988 and said: “Since all organisms are descended from a shared ancestor, it is correct to say that the biosphere as a whole began thinking when humanity was born. If the other life forms are the body, we are the mind. Therefore our place in nature, seen from an ethical perspective, is to reflect on creation and protect the planet.” What are we really doing to preserve the wealth of life we have on Earth and its billions of plants, animals, microorganisms, ecosystems and social assets? Are we truly respectful of the environmental, cultural and social diversity that surrounds us which asks us to be accepted and preserved?
