NATIONAL JURY
Giulia Achilli is a film producer.
After studying in Milan, she moved to India where she produced the feature film “Barah Aana”, distributed in the country in 140 copies; and the documentary “Inshallah, football”, Special Jury Mention in Dubai, winner of an Indian National Award.
In 2013, she joined Dugong Films, a production company set up to develop projects by auteurs who look at the contemporary with a fresh eye. The company’s films have been screened at major festivals: Berlin (“Disco Boy” by Giacomo Abbruzzese, Silver Bear for Best Artistic Contribution), Cannes (“Samouni Road” by Stefano Savona, winner of the Œil D’Or for Best Documentary; “What will come is only a promise” by Flatform), Venice (“Atlantis” by Yuri Ancarani; “Il Palazzo” by Federica Di Giacomo; “Tony Driver” by Ascanio Petrini; “Controfigura” by Rä Di Martino), Locarno (“The Challenge” by Yuri Ancarani, Special Jury Prize), Rotterdam (“Tutto loro che c’è” by Andrea Caccia) and exhibited in art contexts such as Tate Modern, Art Basel, ICA.
MATTEO ZOPPIS
Matteo Zoppis, (Rome 16/10/1986) is an Italian-American filmmaker.
After studying law in Rome at the University of Rome 3, he moved to New York and enrolled at New York University to study filmmaking. Interested in the cultural values of the oral tradition, his works have been selected in many International Film Festivals, including Cannes, New York Film Festival, Rotterdam IFFR, The Art of Real in New York, Doclisboa, TFF Torino Film Festival, Goteborg International Film Festival, Rome International Film Festival, Sapporo, Cinéma du Réel, São Paulo International Film Festival, VIENNALE, BAFICI in Buenos Aires, RIDM in Montreal. He was a member of the jury at the 34th edition of the TFF Turin Film Festival. He currently lives in Rome as director, cinematographer and editor.
NICCOLÒ FALSETTI
Niccolò Falsetti lives and works in Rome as a director and screenwriter. He was born in 1987 in Grosseto, a small town in the Tuscan Maremma, where he set his first feature film, ‘Margini’, produced by dispàrte with Manetti bros. film and Rai Cinema. Presented in competition at the Settimana Internazionale della Critica during the last edition of the Venice Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award, the film was very well received both by critics and in theatres, managing to obtain two nominations for the David di Donatello and three nominations for the Nastri d’Argento. Over the years, both independently and as part of ZERØ, a collective of authors and filmmakers, he has made documentaries, short films, viral campaigns, cross-media projects, web series, books and more than a hundred branded contents and advertisements, and has written and directed video clips for Levante, il Muro del Canto, Lucio Leoni, Danomay, Malclango.
Since 2005 he has never stopped playing punk with PEGS.
