MATTEO ZOPPIS: SPECIAL SCREENING

JUROR OF THE 2023 NATIONAL COMPETITION, DIRECTOR MATTEO ZOPPIS WILL INTRODUCE HIMSELF TO THE LAGO FILM FEST AUDIENCE WITH A SPECIAL SCREENING OF ONE OF HIS WORKS.

Ercolino, an old cowboy who shoots easy, saw a black panther. Tony Scarf, urban panther expert, caught one. 

After studying law in Rome at the University of Rome 3, he moved to New York and enrolled at New York University to study filmmaking. Interested in the cultural values of the oral tradition, his works have been selected in many International Film Festivals, including Cannes, New York Film Festival, Rotterdam IFFR, The Art of Real in New York, Doclisboa, TFF Torino Film Festival, Goteborg International Film Festival, Rome International Film Festival, Sapporo, Cinéma du Réel, São Paulo International Film Festival, VIENNALE, BAFICI in Buenos Aires, RIDM in Montreal. He was a member of the jury at the 34th edition of the TFF Turin Film Festival. He currently lives in Rome as director, cinematographer and editor.
