Born in 2019 as an offshoot of the broader GIRINI project, this competition stems from the need to make the project even more inclusive and therefore create a schedule of activities and content that can be used by adolescents.
In just three years this section of the competition has managed to reach very high quality standards, so much so that it boasts important short films from 13 countries in the world and selected in the most important international festivals, from the Clermont Ferrand festival to the Oscars.
9 fictions, 8 animations and for the first time a documentary: the short films in competition tell 18 precious stories (7 in Italian premiere, 2 in international premiere and 1 world premiere) capable of entertaining and generating, at the same time, fundamental reflections and discussions around the important issues dealt with using a language appropriate to the public to which they are addressed.
The dreams, the hopes but also the anxieties of a generation told in 205 minutes.
