Widespread Festival: DEM and Beams of Lago – LFF2020
An artist that has painted walls all over the world, giving life to surreal characters and imperceptible creatures, has now come to Lago to conceive a site-specific work that crosses history.
Fasol translates to “bean”, a nickname for Lago’s residents. The beanstalk, a climbing plant that twirls and builds, that envelops and unites past and present, entangling lakes and mountains. The beanstalk which crosses the water and brings to the surface stories and symbols of this land and the people that make it.
Fasoi de Lago puts humans in contact with nature through a work of public art that reinterprets the local plant through a mix of direct experience, first-person observation and dialogue with the locals.
