SPECIAL SELECTION “PRETI” – LFF2014
My name is not Astutillo Smeriglia and I was born in a small provincial town called Italy many years ago. I write, draw, animate, assemble and sometimes clean, alone or in company. The result is a blog (In Coma e Meglio) and these short films, selected in various festivals in Italy and abroad, among which Torino Film Festival, Guadalajara International Film Festival, Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film. “Il Pianeta Perfetto” won the Best Animated Short Film Award at Nastri d’Argento Awards in 2011. Same prize in 2012 for “Training Autogeno”. “Preti” was nominated for Best Short Film at David di Donatello Awards in 2013. “Homo Homini Bisonte” (realized with Emanuele Simonelli’s animations) has been presented in official competition at the 31st Torino Film Festival.
