Giuseppe Taffarel

Giuseppe Taffarel was young when he moved to Rome to attend the cinema Academy. He fought in the Second World War, in 1940. At the end of the war he went back to Rome and began his career, acting in more than 20 films.
In 1960 he began to film documentaries to cinema and television. He did more than 320 works, all about social problems (daily life, men’s jobs and women’s ones, the story of Italian “Resistenza”, the mountains…).

 

Carlo Montanaro (Burano 1946)

Carlo Montanaro is an architect but he works on communication and show, even if his greatest interest is on cinema.
He works as assistant director and organizer on television and cinema.
He has helped the realization of many shows (Biennale in Venice, Film Festival about art and artists’ biographies in Asolo, Mystfest in Cattolica, Days of silent cinema in Pordenone).
He teaches “Theory about mass-media” at “Accademia delle Belle Arti” in Venice and, since 2004, at Ca’Foscari University in Venice.

 

Riccardo Caldura (Venice, 1957)

Riccardo Caldura is a philosopher, he works on the philosophy of art, aesthetics and on contemporary art. In these last years he has cooperated with some shows in Venice (Terraferma 2001, Il dono – The giftCandiani 2001…).
From 2002 to 2005 he organized events about contemporary art and civil society (for instance the Urban-lab on contemporary arts).
Since 1994 he has taught “Phenomenology of contemporary art” at “Accademia delle Belle arti” in Venice.

 

Fabio Fornasier (Murano 1963)

Fabio Fornasier is a young Maestro vetraio in Murano. His knowledge about the methods of working the Glass of Murano is great. He is able to create all the time new experimental works, paying particular attention on forms and aesthetics.
In his works you find his personal idea of glass’ art. He also joined many important international events: ‘96-‘98 in Venice Vetro Aperto; ’04 Vetri nel mondo oggi.

 

Valerio Tricoli (Palermo 1977)

Valerio Tricoli is a composer, his works are a mix between musique concrete and more conceptual experiences. Director, together with other Italian musicians, of a particular experimental music, called Bowindo.
