With his company, the Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio, he has staged plays throughout Europe over the last 30 years to become a prominent exponent of avant garde theater. On a backdrop of the music of Antonio Vivaldi, Theatron traces an unconventional portrait of the author.
The commentary of Romeo and Claudia Castellucci intertwines with the accounts of playwrights, composers, choreographers, critics and actors of the likes Willem Dafoe, who collaborated with him. This film is not only a profound reflection on show business, but also one on the author’s role in the portrayal of human nature.
